This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other domains. It keeps a few small items in your browser so that terminal mode and the game remember how you left them. That is all.

Who is responsible

Simon Gergely, a private individual. The quickest way to reach me is a message on LinkedIn or through GitHub.

What happens to your data

• On my side, nothing. There are no accounts, forms, cookies, analytics, adverts or embeds, and the fonts, scripts and images all come from this site. I do not receive, log or store personal data from your visit.
• The host. The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives technical request data, such as your IP address and the pages you ask for, when it delivers a page. How it handles that, including transfers outside the EU/EEA, is described in GitHub's Privacy Statement. My basis for using a host at all is my legitimate interest in publishing this site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Links out. LinkedIn, GitHub, TryHackMe, the Firefox and Chrome extension stores and GTFOBins are separate sites with their own policies. Nothing is sent to them until you follow a link.

What is stored on your device

These items stay in your browser. They are never sent to me or anyone else, and they are never used to track or identify you. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

• Terminal mode, in sessionStorage, gone when the tab closes: sige.crt.seen notes that the start-up animation has played, and sige.crt.left notes that you switched terminal mode off.
• Swarm vs Hero, in localStorage, written only by the game and kept until you clear it: under the key swarmvshero, whether sound is muted and a small record of your runs (how many, how many won, your fastest win).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or erasure of personal data about you, and object to its use. I hold no personal data about visitors, so there is normally nothing to hand over, but you are welcome to ask. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
